Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple says his office is taking an all-hands-on-deck approach, with dozens of deputies expected to be assigned to the city of Albany throughout the weekend. They will work alongside officers from the Albany Police Department and New York State Police. Authorities are particularly focused on Albany s Pine Hills neighborhood, where there have been violent incidents in recent months, as well as disturbances during previous holiday weekends this year.
